Back To The Basics

Yeah, yeah. Stop your whining! I'll update one of these days! :) So what has change in my life the past few months? Well, so much that I decided to revamp my whole site. Don't worry, just because a lot of stuff is missing right now does not mean that it will be gone forever! I am re-doing the back-end. I am also redoing the front-end, so for now I have gone "back to the basics" with this design. I don't like this design too much though, so I am working on a new one done with CSS positioning. Oh yeah baby!

Ok, so here is a quick recap of what has happened in my life that I could have talked about on this website a while ago, but was to busy to update it:

• My Guatemalan car got fixed for really cheap, and now Mark and Andrea drive it
• We missed our flight back to the States because of a missive land-slide that blocked our road to the airport
• Which in turn caused me to miss my advisor meeting I was supposed to have for UK; had to reschedule it to two days before class started
• I am going to UK; taking German, Spanish, Russian Folklore, and Geography 130
• I am swimming every Monday, Tuesday and Friday morning
• I ride my bike everyday at school and my thighs are really "muscley" now
• I got my old job back at eLink Design the day after I stepped off the plane from Guatemala
• Jennie and I officially broke up after "being on a break" for a while. I am still in love with her, and think she's awesome. God is taking care of us and we are cool with each other.
• My truck doesn't have A/C but that's OK, I'm doing it "Guatemalan Style"
• I bought a .22 revolver that holds nine shots
• I am on the church drama team and this past Sunday I did a skit in the morning service
• Kona (my dog) is probably going to die soon
• Jamie (Bryan's (my brother) wife) is having a baby soon (Nov. 30th)
• I miss David and D-well a whole lot!

This Saturday I am taking a Concealed Deadly Weapon course to be trained in gun safety and care. This is also a means to get my CCDW licence. As most of you guys know, I have this strange beast inside of me that has a constant desire to go out to the farm and shoot old computers (or run over them with William's phatty Jeep.) So I figured that if I am going to make a habit of going out and shooting helpless silicon chips, I should have a good understanding of gun safety. Just makes sense to me.

Speaking of safety (no, I didn't just fart,) ridding my bike around campus is quite a bit more dangerous than I thought it would be. Nearly every week, I am almost run over by a careless driver ON THEIR STUPID CELL PHONE! Look people, driving is for people who are focused and aware, NOT for people who have to talk to their boyfriends about why they feel FAT today. I mean give me A BREAK! Seriously, I get so frustrated when this gas-jugging giant of a SUV cuts off in front of me as if I didn't exist, and I almost slam into them, then I realized that the driver is on their cell phone on some important call. Arrrrrrrrgh!

Don't worry, if I end up like a pancake on the road, it's because someone's phone conversation was more important than my life. ;)
