A Car "Upgrade"October 8th 2005 |

Some of you have told me that the comment section on this site is crappy. Have no worries my friends, this is only a temporary solution until I can sit down and program-out a phatty website. Right now, it's just the bare minimum that I spent like 30 minutes programming a few days ago.
I have upgraded my vehicle from a beautiful, black V6 GMC truck...

...to an 80's faded light-blue go-cart with bald tires.

Why!??? You ask? Well, it gets a ton better gas mileage. I am driving it to school and work, but when I want to go to London and see Memaw or something, I will drive the truck. I would be scared silly to drive this thing over 45 mph. Right now, if you dive it at 40 mph in the rain, it sways back and forth and makes you think you are loosing control. Maybe it's because of the bald tires! I wish D-well were still working at NTB!! :)
William and I went to the UK German-program sponsored "Oktoberfest" at the Maxwell Krade House located on Maxwell street.

They were making FREE German-style sausages. Believe it or not, I went there thinking I might be able to practice my German, but I ran into a Latino kid who I talked with in Spanish for a while, then later on this German guy came out of the house and I attempted to talk with him in German a few times, and failed pretty miserably. Oh well, I just got to keep trying at it!
After the Oktoberfest, William and I went to CSF (Christian Student Fellowship) on campus. After the service we set up a slackline in front of the building and everyone who came out had to either watch William do some crazy tricks, or try to slackline for themselves.

No one but William could walk the entire length of the slackline. Of all the times I have tried to walk the length of the slackline in the past, I have always fallen off before reaching the center, but this night, I kept trying and getting a little further each time. After about 6 or 7 tries, I made it all the way across!!! For the first time in my entire life, I was able to cross the slackline!! Now mind you, I was unable to stop once I got to the other end and ended up nearly slamming into a tree, but it was fun nonetheless!
William and I played a fun game of Racquet ball last night at the Johnson Center. He ended up beating me each time, but we had some great volleys.
Now I am heading over to William's house with MAP and we are going to do some more slacklining baby!

Concerning Sam's 10/02/05 posting, which erroneously defamed my good name, I object. Furthermore, I hang out with Sam quite often, which we all know is a tiresome and arduous practice Thus, it is concievable that one could, from time to time, feel a brief seperation from Mr. Powers necessary in order to attain much needed mental r & r. As to your assumption that said Saturday was spent with Ms. Taber, I proudly concur.

The problem was not failure to hang out with Sam, but turning down a chance to go 4 wheeling with two awesome jeeps on one of the best trails ever, even though we would have been back in town with plenty of time left for you to spend time with Kelly, who should have gone offroad with us anyway.
