It's time to go Shoot Computers!

It's official! We are going shooting again on Saturday the 25th in London, Kentucky! Man I love computer shooting! We'll start the day off at Memaw's house eating some of Memaw's good cooking goodness. Once we have eaten our fill and are able to roll out of the house, we'll hit-up Wal-mart for some ammo and maybe some skeet if we have some shotguns this time. Next we'll go out to Papaw Jack's property with computers, guns and ammo in hand. After blowing away the computer and other cool targets (like my old attic stairs,) we'll head up to Livingston, KY and do some mad four-wheeling in the Jeep and possibly another sweet truck. A fun-filled day of "food, fun and fellowship." HAHA!

  • When: Saturday, February 25 at 8:30 AM. We'll meet at my house and leave by 9 AM
  • Who: YOU!
  • Cost: $7 for gas and $15-$20 for ammo depending on how much you want to shoot
  • What To Bring: Warm clothes, hearing protection (only if you have it. I have plenty of earplugs, but also have 3 protective muffs,) any small targets (i.e. old remote control, broken watch, old keyboard, etc.,) your own gun (if you have one,) an appetite.
  • What Not To Bring: Big non-biodegradable targets that are ridiculously messy to clean up and are illegal to destroy because of environmental laws (i.e. TV sets, computer monitors, C4, Bauer, etc.)

Last night we all went to a Reality party (click for pics.) It was a "thug pary" so everyone was supposed to dress-up like thugs. There were a TON of people there as normal but they held it in an apartment this time (not the best place to throw a party with over 100 people.) When we arrived, there were already several cop cars out front with police outside monitoring the party. When we got to the front door of the apartment that the party was in, there were lots of people standing just outside the door. When they saw us start to go in they said, "Good-luck!" As soon as we opened the door, we were blasted with a billow of hot air and loud sound. The hallway in front of us was packed with people. After squeezing through the hallway crowd, we made our way to the main dance area which was even more packed than the hallway. The temperature and humidity in that room was more intense than your typical sauna. My camera lens even fogged-up for some of the shots. You'll notice in the photo gallery that some of the pictures look "smoky," but the room was smokeless – it was the moisture in the air!

After dancing all we wanted, we headed back to my house to play with the dogs a little bit and then headed to bed.

I know your stance on the issue, but come on. I mean, getting rid of all the pets in the world won't do anthing other than upset many pople including me, Mary Audrey, Dee Powers, Jeremy & Karissa Porter, and countless other folks world-wide.

I regret to inform you that I will not be able to join the shooting festivities. Due to my regard against the existence of guns coupled with the rediculousness scheduled for work that day, the 25th just doesn't work for me.

I can't wait to go shooting again. Ah, the joys of destroying old computer parts with many small sharp, hot, metal objects. What fun!
