Kona LIVES! Well... at least for a few more days.

We took him to the vet the other day to find out what all the lumps were on his body, and they are getting one of the lumps tested and we will know tomorrow if it's bad or not. We might have to put him down, but I think we are all prepared for that. Captain Kona Beyonde Powers has been a Powers kid for over 13 years now, and we will all miss him greatly if he has to be put down.
My CCDW training got postponed until another Saturday. Oh well, I was super excited too! Here are a few pics from when William and I went computer-shooting a few weeks ago at my Grandma's farm.

After CSF this past Thursday, William and I decided that we would go camping out at the Gorge with Todd. After finding out that Todd wanted to be with Kelly this Saturday we thought we'd all go down there and do some mad off-roading in the phatty jeep. When that went to pot after Toddy decided to spend time with a certain fiance or something crazy like that instead, William and I went to Raven Run and did a "speed hike."

We got to Raven Run at 3:30 and William said, "Ok, we have exactly one hour to do the four-mile hike, so we must hike briskly." So we hiked briskly. In fact, at one point we even jogged to try and get back before the trail closed at 4:30. So with the total hike including a five minute break:

We finished within one hour and ten minutes. For four miles, that's not bad at all! But when we reached the entrance of the trail again, we noticed a sign that said, "Trail Closes at 5:30." Oh well, at least it was good exercise.
Afterward we were riding back home in the phatty jeep when I spotted a pelican just standing in this pond, so William stopped the jeep and we backed up to get a picture of it, it freaked out and started to fly away, and as you can see from the picture below, I missed it.

Maybe next time.
After we both went to our houses to shower, we met-up with Todd, Kelly, Frith and a girl name Wendy (or Whitney, I can't remember) at Applebee's for half-priced appetizers. After eating our fill for like $2, we headed to Frith's house for some mad slacklining. Frith really doesn't have two ideal trees that are relatively close together at his house, so William "jerry-rigged" a slackline between his jeep and a tree.

When Joe and Renee came over, Joe's muscles were needed to help pull the slackline tight, and I did not help, but took a picture instead.

Then the slacklining commenced. William started off to show everyone how it was done.

When everyone else tried it, we always fell off before even really reaching the center.

But Renee did quite a good job of making it the furthest across, but her problem was that she would come down the line like a freak-freight train out of control, thus always falling off.

That's a rare "calm" picture of Renee's slacklines. After the slacklining madness, we went down to the Frith basement where he showed us his new, ridiculously huge TV and watched SNL at which all of us were disappointed at the poor-writing quality of the SNL skits these days.
Well, I had better get back to... I mean START my homework. I am going to "La Roca" again tonight (it's a Spanish-speaking service.) I love to hang out with the Latinos! I leave you now with pictures from a family reunion we had a few weeks ago - complete with corn hole and basketball.

Sam!! Thanks for the birthday wish! And by the way, while aiming and shooting a firearm, one should open BOTH eyes!! Never never close one! It actually throws off your aim! Haha, so good to see that you are doing well! Miss you!

First comment!
Who's the guy playing corn hole who looks like Supreme Court Cheif Justice John Roberts? Is he your uncle or something?
Love the clarity of the pics on your new web design.
BTW, I'm carrying around some computer mice that might could be used for GT. Let me know when I can show them to you.
