A Big Teddy Bear Hug

So is there a reason why no one has added their email address to the �Notify Me� thing I set up? Man, I spent like 4 hours on that last Saturday and it took me forever and a day to upload it because the Internet is so slow here. Maybe you didn�t see it, but on the left-hand side of the site, if you add your email address in that little box, you will receive an email each time I add a new entry to this site. Also, some of you are asking about pictures, and I have some, it�s just that the Internet here in Guatemala is so SLOW! There is only one place that has fast broadband, but I am unable to go there often. So, soon and very soon; hopefully next entry, I�ll have some good pics for you guys!

These past few days, God has been teaching me a whole lot about prayer. This past Sunday night, he revealed many scriptures to me about the importance of prayer. All throughout this week, He has been hammering into my head all about prayer and He has laid certain things on my heart that He wants me to pray for. Then today we had no school for the kids, but a meeting for the teachers the whole day. In the meeting, the pastor kept talking about the importance of prayer! God is really speaking to me about how affective prayer is, and one thing he keeps laying on my heart to pray for is the money for the new computers. I know God is going to provide the new computers really soon, I am simply waiting on His perfect timing.

Today after the teacher meeting, I went outside to eat my packed lunch with Antonio and Aleman, and this little 7 year-old girl came up to me and gave me a huge hug. She is so sweet. Every time she sees me, she gives me a big hug. But this time she was hugging me so hard that she was shaking. Then she stopped, looked up at me and said, �You are like hugging a big bear,� and then started to squeeze me again so hard that I almost fell over!! This little girl who was barely higher than my waistline was almost making me fall over with her love!

Tom (the other missionary from Oklahoma,) and I are still working on getting Internet access in Shalom. We tried yesterday to no avail, but I think we are going to try again today. Tom said his goal to get Internet up at Shalom was sometime before the end of this week, so I can�t wait! If we get it up today or tomorrow, the next lesson I give in class will be over the Internet. Next week I am going to try and give the whole lesson on my own in Spanish without help from Antonio! Please pray that God will help me learn the words I need to know quickly so that the kids can understand me! :p
