Happy Birthday (Times 100)March 5th 2008 |

I guess in this day and age when you post your birth date to Stalker Land, everyone and their mom knows that it's your birthday. I find it interesting how many people wished me a happy birthday that I haven't talked to in several years and never really knew all that well... interesting indeed. I know it is a friendly gesture, and I thank all my friends who wished me the best on my 24th, but I have always wondered about those who don't know me... why would they wish me a happy birthday? Is there an awkward social internet pressure to take notice of someone who you don't even know to say "Happy Birthday"? I'm not saying it's wrong or that I am offended by any means, I just think it's very interesting. Very interesting indeed.
This is what I saw on my computer screen when I walked in my room tonight after work:
Holy Crap - are you for serious!?
