Back To School

It's been a while since the last update, but that's because I have been a busy fiend the past few weeks. I still don't have any official word on my server, but hopefully she'll be back up soon. School started back up this past Wednesday. It's cool because I am talking all Linguistic and Language classes. Most of my Linguistic classes are at the 500 level and have some grad students mixed with them. That's cool since I am “supposed” to be in grad school by now (at least out of undergrad.)

Which brings me to my next point. I am really looking at going to film school after UK. I would love to go to the LA Film School or Full Sail Film School. I have also looked at going to the London Film Academy. Who knows. They are super-expensive – like $40,000 for a full year. But all in all, it's not a bad deal if you look at the hours you spend learning. The full-year school is 40 hours a week. It's about 4 years of traditional school crammed into one year. So if you figure UK costs about $7,000 a year, after four years the tuition would be $28,000. Ok, so that's the first time I actually crammed the numbers and now I can clearly see it's twice as expensive... BUT you get tons of hands-on experience with equipment used in REAL movies. That's so sweet. I just need to find a fatty scholarship or something.

God has provided 11 new computers AND $2,700 for more new computers at Shalom!!! I hope that people will still send in support so that we can get 30 computers total.
